Hailing from Northwest Indiana, Haley LeRand is a guitarist and vocalist who began playing music from an early age. A classically trained pianist, she spent her elementary and teenage years participating in performance competitions and eventually working both as an accompanist and a choral singer.
Haley taught herself guitar at age 14 and began learning every Joni Mitchell song she possibly could. She formally began playing solo gigs in 2019 and has released two albums, which focus on themes of travel, loneliness, and the push-and-pull between adventure and stability. Currently, she sings and plays guitar in a duo called The Angry Ankles with violinist Dov Salkoff. They cover a mix of classic jazz, swing, and blues tunes. |
